The Pearls of Hope Gala was on Monday, November 13, 2017. It raises money for the Lorraine Jackson Foundation which gives scholarships to young adults who have lost a parent to cancer. Past scholarship recipients return each year to tell how the hand-up has positively impacted their lives. I was seated at Sumner’s table. Sumner and I became friends through Lorraine Jackson.
